About

I am a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Jelena Diakonikolas. My research focuses on optimization and machine learning theory, with particular interests in robust learning and learning under distribution shift. I also collaborate with Prof. Ilias Diakonikolas and other wonderful researchers.

Before joining UW–Madison, I earned a B.S. in Computer Science while completing Honors Mathematics and Honors Statistics at the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor. There, I was advised by Prof. Ambuj Tewari and Dr. Yash Patel.

Outside research

I enjoy bouldering, Go (Baduk/Weiqi), and writing. I started bouldering in Fall 2024, and it quickly became my favorite sport. I have played Go since age eight, earned an amateur 5-dan rank in China, and qualified as a National Second-Class Athlete. I am also an avid reader—especially of Gabriel García Márquez—and magical realism has had a lasting influence on my writing.
